Getting to meeting

If you are new to Northside, our Greeter is there to welcome you, let you know what to expect during Quaker worship, and answer any question you might have. After you’ve had a chance to chat with the Greeter, you will be directed to Meeting for Worship. You are welcome to go in at any time; although Meeting for Worship begins at 10AM, there is no problem with entering either early or late.

Attending In Person

We meet in person at the Chicago Friends School (CFS), 5944 N Magnolia Ave in Chicago, IL. The entrance is on the east side of the building, through the small parking lot off Magnolia Ave. Doors open by 9:45AM.

Parking is available in the small lot next to the entrance. Free street parking is usually available in the neighborhood; there is also metered parking on Broadway. CFS is close to the Thorndale Red Line L stop and the #36 Broadway bus.

You must follow our Health Safety Guidelines to attend in person.

Severe Weather

We make every attempt to have in-person worship every Sunday, but in the event of severe weather please check local weather alerts and attend worship by Zoom if advisable.

Attending Online

We meet online using Zoom, a video conferencing program. You can download Zoom for free to your computer, tablet or smartphone. You can also attend without a Zoom account by using your web browser, or you can call in (audio only). The current Zoom meeting ID and password are always available on our website.

The Zoom room will be open around 9:30AM; we recommend you arrive at least a few minutes early. When you first connect, you will be in the main Zoom room (our “foyer”) where we greet folks, socialize, and hold events after Meeting for Worship (more on those later).

Once you connect, please check that your Zoom “nametag” includes the name you would like us to use and your pronouns. If you need any assistance, our Tech Host will be happy to help!
