Registration Opens for Ilinois Yearly Meeting of Friends Annual Sessions

Online registration is now open for Illinois Yearly Meeting Annual Sessions! This year's theme is "Listen, Speak, Welcome, Belong - a Call to Community". Annual sessions will be held June 18-22 in the ILYM Meetinghouse near McNabb, IL. Registration is due by June 1. Illinois Yearly Meeting is a spiritual community comprised of Quakers from 21 local Meetings across four states.

Each summer the Meeting gathers to worship together and to conduct the business of the community. This business includes issues related to lay ministry, religious education, the practice of faith, volunteer service, public witness, publications, Meetinghouse site improvement, and finances. This year, Northside Friends Meeting was one of several meetings charged with program planning for the annual sessions. Several Friends from our meeting have been deeply involved with this process. Friends from Northside are also leading three different workshops at this year's sessions: Chanting from the Silence, Ted Ehnle Friends Committee on National Legislation--Legislative Priorities and Biblical Basis, Wilmer Rutt Inclusion and Exclusion in Friends Meeting--Having a Place for All in Worship, Charlotte Wood-Harrington For more details and to register for Annual Sessions, go to
