NFM’s Justice & Service Committee invites Friends and all interested are invited to gather online [zoom link below] on Thursday, December 9, at 7 pm Central Time, to hear about the struggle against the Line 3 oil pipeline, both at the Red Lake Nation in Northern Minnesota and at the People Vs. Fossil Fuels action in Washington DC. We will learn both about the actions and Friends’ experiences in participating in this indigenous-led struggle. There will also be a brief update on the status of Line 3 and a report on the situation facing the more than 500 water protectors facing legal charges stemming from their acts of resistance against Line 3. The legal report will be followed by the experience sharing, which will be followed by questions and discussion. We expect the meeting will go an hour and a half.
