All Friends and others are invited to the first Sacred Bread Gathering For Inspirational Sharing, Tuesday March 22 at 7pm.

The idea began as a group to read and share sacred texts, but is now understood to allow for music, art, and other forms of inspirational sharing.

We will begin with selections from Jean Toomer, a Black Quaker who lived from 1894-1967. You can read his wikipedia page HERE:

His writings on Quakerism are featured in "Black Fire: African American Quakers on Spirituality and Human Rights" which can be purchased from Quaker Books

His poems and other writings are widely available on the internet and booksellers.
