Dear Friends,

The pandemic has upset everyone’s plans for the future, including the

2½-day anti-racism training, Understanding and Analyzing Systemic
Racism, scheduled for May 28-30. At present Illinois and Chicago are
under a shelter-in-place order and our venue, Admiral at the Lake, is
home to particularly vulnerable Friends.

With CROAR’s support we have decided to reschedule the workshop
at a future to-be-determined date.

Northside Friends Meeting Ad-hoc Committee for Ministry on Racism
is in ongoing discernment with Chicago Regional Organizing for Anti-
Racism (CROAR) and its parent organization, Crossroads. We will keep
you informed as to our process.

We appreciate Friends’ patience during this disruption and your
continued enthusiasm for this important work. Please hold this
endeavor in the Light as we wait for Way to open.
