Hybrid Worship Starting June 12

Beginning Sunday June 12, Friends can attend Sunday Meeting for Worship either in-person and online.

Attending Online

No changes! You can continue to use the link on our homepage to join using Zoom.

Attending In Person

In-person worship will be held at the Japanese American Service Committee, 4427 N Clark in Chicago. Doors open around 9:30AM. Please enter through the Clark Street door with the purple awning (not through the parking lot).

Please review our Health Safety Guidelines before attending. If you are unable to meet these guidelines, you are welcome to attend online.

Health Safety Guidelines for Attending In Person

Individual Responsibilities

  • If you are sick, stay home! If you have any symptoms associated with COVID (cough, fever, shortness of breath, headaches, loss of taste or smell, etc.), regardless of your vaccination status, please join us online instead.

  • Get your vaccine and boosters! To attend in-person worship you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, unless there is no vaccine available to you due to your age group or medical status. Please be aware, this means there may be people at in-person worship who are not vaccinated. We do not require proof of vaccination.

  • Mask up! Wear your mask over your nose and mouth at all times while in the building, including when giving messages during Meeting for Worship, unless you are in the Fellowship Area (where the coffee and snacks live). Masks will be optional in the Fellowship Area.

  • Help everyone hear better! Speak clearly and speak up if asked, especially when giving vocal ministry.

  • Respect personal bubbles! People may have different comfort levels with social distancing - step back if asked. You are also welcome to (quietly) move your chair if you would like more space during worship.

Meeting Responsibilities

  • Meeting will provide extra masks and hand sanitizer.

  • Meeting will place air purifiers in all rooms occupied by the Meeting.

  • The doors between the Fellowship Area and the hallway, as well as the dividing wall and door between the Fellowship Area and the Worship Area will remain closed both during and after Meeting for Worship. This will keep the “mask optional” space contained.
